Rob Scholl is now riding with team SRC he is riding a custom built scooter built by Tommy Thunder in the Thunder Shop at Scootertronics. Rob comes from a long history of sport bike racing and loves to ride. He will be racing now with us for the rest of the 2010 season and will be returning to race with us in the 2011 series. Rob is welcomed to the team and has became a great asset to Team SRC.
Rob comes to us after a two decade lapse in time from when he worked as musician along side Scootertronics own scootermike. Rob brings years of two wheeled racing to the SRC crew. With this experience he was handed the throttle of number 16 after a few laps on number 11 which went on to his son Robbie who clearly follows in dad’s footsteps and gives old dad a high five each race day. Number 16 was scootermike’s ride so it got a lot of care and custom design while being built by Tommy Thunder. Nothing was spared in power for this scooter and it was clear from the first day that slicks were needed to keep this scooter under Rob who throws it down so low in the corner nothing but Stage 6 slicks would keep it on the track. Now we have number 16 and the Zuma squaring off each time. I dare say Rob is our number one rider due to his fear factor while on the track. watching Rob and Tommy Thunder tear up the track up is a sight to be seen. Both riders have their own style that keeps them in first place each lap but one can only finish first and I am already tried at lookingat the photo’s f the finish.
